The Path of the Bacio of Cherasco was born as a tribute to the famous chocolate sweet, the Bacio di Cherasco ®, which has made the city internationally famous in the art of confectionery. At the same time the route devoted to the Bacio is a romantic walk to discover the treasures of the city center: from the cool Rio Crosio at the foot of the city plateau, to the pleasant balcony of the Bastions and finally to the colorful streets of the center between art, history...and kisses!
The starting point of the path of the Bacio, along a total of 4.5 km, is Piazza Lagorio; from here continue along Viale Salmatoris in the direction of the Rio Crosio itinerary (dedicated to the memory of Piergiorgio Rossetti from Cherasco) then go up to the green area of Madonnina and proceed, following the red signs, to discover the romantic Cherasco town.
Alternatively, on rainy days, if the Rio Crosio itinerary is less easy, you can reach directly the Madonnina area, beyond the Belvedere Arch, and continue from there.

The Bacio di Cherasco ® is the chocolate protagonist of the centuries-old confectionery of Cherasco, based on a fine blend of 60% dark chocolate amalgamated with Piedmont IGP hazelnuts toasted according to an ancient traditional recipe and crushed coarsely.
History attests the creation of the chocolate by the prestigious hands of the pastry chef and experimenter Marco Barbero at the end of the 800.
It is for sale at local the bakeries and chocolatiers in the historic center of Cherasco.
