The beautiful Palazzo Galli della Mantica leads us to the Triumphal Arch of Our Lady of the Rosary, built between 1647 and 1688 to a design by Giovenale Boetto from Fossano, as a vow of the city for having been spared from the plague of 1630-1631. It is topped by the statues of the Madonna, a marble work by Saverio Franzi of 1832, and the saints promoters of the Marian cult: St.Iffredo, St.Domenico, Blessed Alano de Rupe and St.Nicola da Tolentino, made in terracotta, have come to replace the original wooden ones deteriorated over time. In the lateral niches there are the images of the patron saints of Cherasco: St.Virginio and St.Euflamia.
