Cherasco is a town of Barolo production: the Fracassi family has been making the "Mantoetto" nebbiolos in the village since 1880. The area of Nebbiolo is just over two hectares that border the town of La Morra and is located on the side overlooking the plain that runs towards the Monviso "Western Slope" of the Barolo area, which ideally combines Cherasco to the other municipalities of Barolo production.
